Interpreter Job Description
We are currently seeking professional Consecutive and Simultaneous interpreters to work as independent contractors. INGCO is searching for interpreters available daytime, evening, and/or weekends. You set your schedule and availability. We are seeing a recent demand in on-site requests, so please note that you are available for on-site assignments in your submission.
Duties
- Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor
- When necessary, serve as a cultural broker between client and provider
- Perform duties in a professional manner
- Submit invoices within 24 hours of the assignment
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English and fluency in additional language(s)
- Prompt
- Effective time-management
- Professional demeanor
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications (At least 1 of the following)
- Certification of Professional interpreter training
- Bridging The Gap (BTG) Certificate
- Continuing Education Certification (CEU)
- Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI)
- National Board for Certified Medical Interpreters (NBCMI)
- The Community Interpreter Certificate (CTI)
- Court Certification
- 40/60 Hour Training
