Jacks’ Make-a-Wish Granted

Jacks’ Make-a-Wish Granted
August 10, 2015

Jack is an 11-year old boy from Shanghai, China. He has spent the last 3 months at the Mayo Clinic undergoing treatment for a spinal tumor. His Make-a-Wish was to be a newscaster for the day, and WCCO Minneapolis hosted Jack and his family for the day. He appeared on the mid-morning show and as an avid soccer fan, he had the opportunity to meet Jamie Watson with Minnesota United. Jack had the opportunity to learn how to handle a camera and participate in a planning meeting. The day wasn’t complete until the family was treated to lunch at McDonald’s.

Jack’s English is pretty good, but INGCO was proud and honored to help out the family communicate with the help of our Chinese interpreter. Our interpreters, working in over 200 languages across the globe, are always on the go and find themselves doing some fun projects from time-to-time, but this was a first for INGCO International!

“The Make-a-Wish Foundation does such amazing things for kids that are in less-than amazing situations. No one wants their child to be in pain, battling deadly diseases. When the Foundation asked us to help, we of course had to say yes.”

We wish Jack a speedy recovery and are thankful that we could help make his Make-a-Wish come true!
